Windows 12 $7 a month subscription based

If NT doesn’t come up with a Linux version, it’s game over for me.
Luckily TWS has a Linux version.

Where did you find that $7 a month?

Microsoft has not officially announced the retail pricing for Windows 12 yet, so there’s no confirmed cost from Microsoft itself at this time. However, based on leaks and analyst expectations, here’s what’s expected once Windows 12 becomes available:

:pushpin: Expected Pricing (Unofficial Estimates)

  • Windows 12 Home license — around $139 (~€130)
  • Windows 12 Pro license — around $199 (~€185)
These price ranges are estimates from industry analysts based on past Windows release pricing and are not official Microsoft prices.

:chart_increasing: Upgrade Path

  • If you already have a licensed copy of Windows 11, the upgrade to Windows 12 is widely expected to be free — similar to how Windows 10 → 11 upgrades worked.

I agree that a linux version would be good. I would switch immediately, to avoid Microsoft to spy on me (if possible…).

Maybe not true, but the possibility is there.

I seem to remember that NinjaTrader 6.5, or maybe it was 6.0, also had a Mac version and, I think, a Linux version.

Rumors vs. reality: Some early leaks detected subscription-related code in Microsoft preview builds, but these appear tied to specific enterprise or IoT editions, not the standard Windows client.

And TradeStation just released their new trading platform “Titan X”. Still needs a bit of refinement and it’s lacking some important features. But this new platform works on all operating systems, Windows, Linux and Mac. I’ve been using it (on my Mac) daily since it’s initial release date.

NinjaTrader has best be working on a version that supports other platforms or they will continue bleeding clients to other brokers/platforms.
