I really wanted to make the new version of NT work, because I like the new features, but performance is just really bad. I have one instrument chart still updating, trying to catch up with the NY session. Five hours after session close it’s at 2:10PM! It started lagging since Axios news on the peace deal around 10AM and never caught up…
Btw, reload historical data fixed the lag so it’s not as if the chart crashed (and no errors in the log).
Hehe. x.0 releases are always ‘beta quality’.
FWIW/fyi when I stupidly tried .7.0 and found it to load slowly etc, I also tried it with a new clean Workspace, one instrument, zero indicators, add-ons etc I.e. as bare-bones clean new .7.0 install with bare-bones clean new workspace single chart single instrument nothing else - nada, zip, nothing else installed/loaded/running.
Lag. Plain & simple.
Rolled it all back to 16.3, with multiple instruments and charts, back to ‘normal’.

I did the same: fresh install, only copied in few indicator scripts I am using. I really liked faster updates, even if it’s just a price marker - it’s great for scalping and allows to see some algos activity better. Alas it seems NT architecture is not built for it, or this version was vibe coded and we will be alright after NT developers deploy Mythos
