I recently purchased “Tick – Level 1 – Individual Files – 1 Data Series that contains the Trade Price (i.e. Last) with the corresponding Bid & Ask on each row.” from Portara.
I followed Portara’s instructions on how to import the historical tick data into NT. The import was successful but when I tried to load it into market replay, it fails. The error that I get is:
“There is no market replay data available for the instrument/date.”
Any suggestions on how to fix?
Normally you should download the market replay data. You can choose from a list that NT8 produces based on NT8 data that exists. The problem is that self imported data seems not to work. I imported data like you did. I wanted to download the data for market replay, and tried to start up market replay. It did not function. Even downloading the historical data from the self imported data did not work. I can only watch my charts with the self imported data, so no way to replay it in any way.
My conclusion is that only data imported from Ninjatrader will function in market replay. So there is no fix for your Portara data.
