Hello,
I’ve seen this done before, but I’m not exactly sure how to set up my chart. I want to trade using the price action of the NQ chart, but execute the trade using MNQ contracts on the NQ chart. Can I place MNQ trades on an NQ chart? Thanks.
Hello,

Simple! you open up the 2 instruments on 2 different charts and look at one while you trade on the smaller one. Place the NQ chart in demo, so you don’t accidentally trade in it, and set the MNQ to your real account. Easy peasy!
AFAIK the only way to do this successful is with a copy trader. There you can place orders on the NQ chart with Sim and it will copy them to the MNQ chart, you can apply various transfer settings like contract ratios etc…
One hack solution that doesn’t need a copy trader:
Open a chart with NQ, add a data series of the MNQ to the same chart. This will create 2 panels within the same chart and you can select which instrument to trade in the chartTrader. However, at this point your orders and entries will still only show on the MNQ panel.
Open data series prefs, set the MNQ to share the same panel as the NQ(so they’re now essentially on top of each other) and then proceed to set the visual style of the MNQ data series to be invisible.
Thank you Afaik, that’s it.
