Time profile - with POC that represents where the market spent the most time?

I would like an overlapping time profile on my charts that gives me a one minute POC of that profile that represents where the market has spent the most amount of time. I’d like to move this profile anywhere on my charts to see where the one minute time POC is in different sections of market throughout the day and all Trading sessions.
Is this capable of being done simply somehow? like a volume profile but 1min. time not volume

As far as I know, you can’t draw a TPO profile like you can with a volume profile.

Yes — if what you’re after is where the market spent the most time rather than where the most volume traded, then you’re really describing a TPO/Market Profile rather than a conventional Volume Profile.

The POC in that case should be calculated from the TPO distribution, so it represents the price level with the greatest time participation.

We implemented this separately in the TPO profile we built at ICF Market because mixing the volume POC and the time-based POC can be misleading. The TPO side has its own TPOC and value area, with configurable time brackets.

For an arbitrary chart range, we also ended up supporting TPO inside our On-Screen Profile, so the profile can be based on the part of the chart you’re actually examining rather than only a fixed session.

Ninja Trader has this natively in the drawing tool. If you look at the drawing tool, you should see the order flow profile drawing tool. You just need to set it up, and hopefully you subscribe to the order flow package, which is free right now too new customers.

The distinction I was making is specifically about what the POC represents.

The Order Flow Volume Profile drawing tool is useful for selecting an arbitrary range, but its POC is still derived from volume-at-price.

What the OP described is slightly different: a profile where each time bracket contributes to the distribution and the POC represents the price with the greatest time participation — essentially a TPOC rather than a Volume POC.

So the important test is not just whether the profile can be drawn over a movable range, but whether changing the volume distribution while keeping the time-at-price distribution the same would leave that POC unchanged. If it does, you’re dealing with a genuinely time-based profile.
