Today i had the weirdest situation. I traded the open of the MES 09-26 futures contract. Something I do everyday. My trades entered and exited without a single line showing on my chart. No entry line, no target line, no stop order line - all of which by the way were present with my broker.
That’s a first!
And this happened on a live account AND on the Sim account where I was testing a different exit strategy.
Which version of the platform?
had that once after an update — chart still took the orders but drew nothing. Chart Trader was on, just Show order history / executions got unchecked in chart properties somehow. right-click the chart → Properties, tick those display boxes again. fixed it for me on both sim and live
ok i have to fess up to a massive error on my part. I was using Ctrl+h shortcut thinking it was hiding the chart when it fact it closes it - hence no strategy plots.
If the NT AI monitors these conversations it would be really useful to have a separate short key cut to hide the chart trader as well as close it.
Which apparently they do so I am 0 for 2 on this topic. Time to take a chill pill.
