Risk settings - Broker side

HI all,

I’ve been trading for a few years now and just recently started using NT. Been coding my strategies, etc, and running SIM, everyhtings working out but I do have an issue, I need to have my risk settings setup as a final guardrail on the broker’s side.
I’m planning on using NT brokerage, and I have emailed about this but I get basic answers from the AI, yes, I know I can set the risk settings via web, I also know I can undo that.
I did code a addon to help with that, however, I know that if it blocks the desktop I can always go to web based NT and trade from there… Any workaround that ?
I know about discipline and everything, I’m just preparing in case.

TY !

You can do that in your account settings.

Did you read my post first ? Or am I missing something ?

The Risk Setting only applies to desktop?

I didn’t know that but if you want extra steps you can:

  • Use a URL blocker and block the web url (freedom etc)
  • Use Guardian Angel Trader

For me it would be better if they Risk Setting locked the setting itself during the session before it gets hit.

What I’m saying is IF you’re using an addon (such as GAT) it’ll work locally on the desktop, not directly on your acct, so web would still work if you just close the desktop. The risk settings that work direcctly on your acct are the ones you can set on the web version directly on NT. GAT only controls the desktop, I just coded it instead of buying it.
Why do ppl buy GAT ? Obviously because you need help to enforce rules and limits before going on tilt / spiraling to gamble, so what GAT et all do / help on desktop does not work on web NT, and the native risk settings on NT web lack some functionalities, such as a time window when you can edit / change limits.
URL blocker I guess is the same, just unlock it. But going to check this out, honestly, what I need is something on the server with NT broker, and not a AI answering because I’m pretty sure there must be an option.

Was just checking and it looks like you are correct about freedom, still, just a workaround but a nice option… Thnx, didn’t think of this.

Solved - NT broker can set it up.
