Ninjatrader’s new documentation space is looking good. I guess they simply decided on moving that out of the forum medium into its own dedicated space.
Beta, pre-release. The NinjaTrader MCP server and its trading skills are in beta and aren’t yet generally available. The beta runs on two environments. Demo trades simulated money, and Live trades real money. Start on Demo. Server hostnames, the tool set, the skills, and the onboarding flow may change before launch.
Here’s whats coming: Overview | NinjaTrader Developer Docs
That’s interesting but as the docs point out:
You are ultimately responsible for the trades your AI agent places in your account. When you use an agent to place orders, all trading decisions are yours. [,]
AI agents can make mistakes, misinterpret instructions, and act on incomplete or outdated information.
I think the new, non LLM AI models, like Jev by TypeSafeAI will be more suitable for handling orders.
The old forum had so many undocumented code snippets that are hard to replace, years of tips. I doubt it would cost much to continue to host it.
Also, maybe I’m out of the loop regarding the web platform, but I thought NT’s web platform was Tradovate. This new website has a screenshot of TradingView plugged in.?
@several, I agree, losing the old forum hurts. Years of answers and undocumented code, much of it covering things the help guide never did, are just gone. Then again, years of complaints went with it, so I doubt anyone upstairs is losing sleep over it.
On the MCP side, it’s worth knowing what it actually is. It’s a hosted service that connects an AI to a NinjaTrader/Tradovate account: orders, positions, account data and market info. It doesn’t need NinjaTrader Desktop running, so it works with your account, not your charts. Their docs only cover NinjaTrader/Tradovate accounts, so if you’re on Rithmic or a prop firm connection, it may not help you at all.
I built something for the other side of that. HTAIBridge runs inside NinjaTrader Desktop, so it works with whatever connection you already use. An AI can see your actual charts, indicator values, drawings and workspaces, and help you build and test NinjaScript. The video has chapters, so you can jump straight to what interests you:

Also, I don’t know if it’s just me but whenever I click a link to NT on google, the first click ALWAYS sends me to the NT homepage. I always have to click back and then click the link again.
you are not alone…, and not just from Google
Still in beta but I’ve created an AI chatbox on nexusfi.com (https://nexusfi.com/nt/chat/) which can create/debug/enhance NinjaScript code.
It learned from the official documentation, and more interesting, the thousands of indicators/strategies/bar type/… we’ve accumulated over the years (17 to be precise).
