NT8, newest edition connected to takeprofittrader. I’m getting an error takeprofittrading error "simulated data feed: please close all other connections before connecting to ‘simulated data feed’ (panic) and even though Im taking trades on there, and the control center says they are executing (including showing my profit) they are in fact, not executing. $2100 of profit that didnt happen, but should have. Anyone got a clue what this error is, and if it is indeed the issue? I have a green connection to “takeprofittrader” which is configured with the user ID and passworld assigned by TPT to my tradovate. Tradovate is NOT showing any live trasnactions, which is how I know these are not going thru.
Update: resolved. It was 2 different connections listed as “start when program starts” kinda thing. The actual account and the sim where both basically made as default.

Somewhere way back in my NT7 days, my dev and trading life became much simpler when I unchecked all ‘Connect on start up’ checkboxes for all connections.
If you always manually connect everything, then this kind of problem magically goes away simply by changing your usage habits.
Unfortunately, that’s life with NinjaTrader.
