NinjaScript Editor

Greetings all. Congratulations on the new forums.

I’m writing in to report a minor bug in the NinjaTrader Desktop platform’s NinjaScript Editor window. This is not by any means the most important thing, but it seems like an oversight, so I’m reporting it while it’s on my mind.

Here’s the bug:

  1. A toolbar icon exists which brings up the Find / Replace pop-up.
  2. The ctrl-F keyboard shortcut also brings up this dialog, with the Find tab selected as expected.
  3. However, the ctrl-H keyboard shortcut brings up a different dialog, one that appears like it’s probably the original one from the Actipro SyntaxEditor - its options are different, and it is not themed, so for instance, if NinjaTrader is in Dark theme, that pop-up is not.

Certainly not the most important thing, but wanted to throw it out there before I forget about it.

I’ll report this to the QA team. Its appreciated.

Additionally, do you by chance still have my email? If so if you had a minute could you reach out to me via email I would love to get your opinion on the future of the ecosystem.

Hey Brett. I’m looking to automate a strategy, my current developer had a medical emergency and won’t be able to do any work. Do you know of any way to get some freelnace help for hire? Someone proficient in c# and ninjatrader can probably do it in 1 day. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jason_Silver: Did you by any chance get any response to…
.any way to get some freelance to help for hire?

For I am also looking for some freelance for hire, too.

Please let me know too. Much thx.

We do certain kinds of work (quantkey.com) such as for vendor products (automated subscription and license management, marketing, data streaming), but for individual indicator or strategy development, you might want to try Mark Whiting at Whitmark Development (https://whitmarkdev.com/) or check the Programmers category on the NinjaTrader Ecosystem site. Mark has my full confidence.
