Memory pressure

Anyone else notice a big jump in memory pressure with the latest build? If i open more than 1 workspace my memory jumps from and average of 50% to 90% with 16GB of memory. It could be a coding leak but it’s only happened since the last build. So just curious.

I can’t comment on the latest build, but in general running NT on a system with 16GB is really asking for it. I mean these days with the OS and a couple of browser windows you can easily use up a big chunk of that 16GB. I always recommend to my users to get at least 32GB of RAM, more if possible.

I guess ninjatrader can be used in so many different ways, I am able to run 40 strategies, Ryzen processor so very good performance, logs being printed, dbs being updated, trades being placed, and till today not able to touch even 10GB of RAM usage…now that might all change in a couple of weeks but that is because of the DAO objects that I might load on startup, but on its own even if you were running 100 strategies on 100 different instruments all doing just for the sake of example, lets say doing MA crossover…so not saving in RAM huge objects…something like that I suspect (its just a suspicion i have not tried it)…could easily run very smoothly on a desktop with 8 GB RAM running windows 10 Professional…or rather taking the OS out of the picture I suspect those 100 simple strategies on 100 different instruments in headless mode would barely make ninjatrader consume 2 GB RAM and here is the best part…0 GB MB KB hard disk space, I literally had my ninjatrader running entire day smoothly with no space left on my disk.
