When I split out the market profile into its TPO parts, the alignment (range, POC, Value Area, etc) are not accurate. Actually this inaccuracy is also expressed in the composite TPO charts. This is amateur platform problems, not something that should be an issue on Ninjatrader.
(This is bug and problem documentation for ninjatrader)
This NinjaTrader support response is infuriating. The issue is Market Profile not aligning correctly, which is a core analytical tool, yet support dismisses it by pointing to a third party add on. That is not an acceptable answer for something that directly impacts market structure analysis.
What is more concerning is the apparent lack of technical understanding or ownership from support. For a platform aimed at serious traders, this level of disengagement from foundational tools is alarming.
The support staff apparently doesn’t know much about their own product. This individual seems to think that Market Profile does not exists on Ninjatrader.
Meanwhile NinjaTrader appears to be prioritizing simulations and proprietary trading style content over maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the platform itself. That shift in focus should concern anyone who relies on this software.
Users should be vocal about this direction, because core functionality should not be treated as an afterthought.
