Four hour time frame

Can someone tell me why there is no option for a four hour time frame on the desktop app?
Am I missing something?
Thanks

There’s Minutes and you can add and remove as many options as you like, so you have to add 240 minutes.

As a matter of perspective, some platforms have “hour bars” that are based on natural (clock) hours rather than 1 hour = 60 minutes. For instance, the first “1 hour” bar of ES RTH would be from 9:30 ET to 10:00 ET, while the second “1 hour” bar would be from 10:00 ET to 11:00 ET. NinjaTrader does not take this approach, and instead orients the bars relative to the starting time of the trading hours, so if the trading hours start at 9:30 ET, the “1 hour” or “60 minute bar” runs 9:30 ET to 10:30 ET.

Probably, keeping the language at 60 minutes avoids this ambiguity, because everyone can easily agree on what 60 minutes is, while hours introduces that question of whether they’re trading hours or natural/clock hours, if that makes sense.

I use 4 hour bars for trading equity index futures, a lot. My charts and computer are all set to mountain time. When setting up the 240 minute bar, and if you’re not on eastern time, there may need to be a “trading hours” setting change needed so that the 4h bar begins at Midnight eastern time and not Midnight of the timezone your charts are running… Its a big deal for contracts like ES, NQ, YM. Not sure about other instruments
