I was happily editing, compiling and applying a strategy, all was well.
Suddenly NT8 freezes… argh, → Task Manager → End Task only option.
Clear cache etc.
Restart NT8, looks good, but immediately upon selecting Strategies on a chart NT8 freezes again.
I removed most recent edited strategies from folder thinking a compile error (but no error msgs) no joy.
Suggestions welcome and appreciated.

UPDATE:
So the issue was compiling a strategy with various time based objects trying to decide which way to go that would work with playback as well as realtime. Some combo made NT very unhappy such that if you tried to apply any strategy NT locked before the selection screen was even painted. So I removed the strategy and restarted, no joy, wash rinse repeat with other ‘fixes’ all day.
Solution: What I had failed to do after removing the strategy was open another strategy (or I suppose an indi would do as well) and recompile. Oops. Once I did that all was well. I can reproduce this easily.
BTW, if anyone has the penultimate idea for solving the time comparison (trading hours) riddle that works with both playback and realtime, I’d appreciate your comments.
