Hello, traders.
I’m seeking help regarding a delayed entry issue on the UniRenko chart.
I got the UniRenko addon from here:
https://ninza.co/download-zone
I applied the strategy to this chart.
However, the entry point is delayed than expected.
It should enter Position when the arrow appears on the indicator, but it should enter only after 2-3 or 10 bars have passed.
Can anyone explain the cause and solution to this issue?
I look forward to your warm assistance.
Thank you.
Several things.
First:
That is not UniRenko. You downloaded Ninza Renko, which definitely is not called UniRenko (since that name is already taken by a different bar type). The Ninza Renko bars you downloaded are technically called ‘ninZaRenko’ (duh) and you should not confuse the two. To do so is an error in your thinking.
Second:
What strategy? I mean, you asked a very loaded question about entry orders placed by some unknown strategy but we readers don’t know a thing about the strategy you’re talking about. The answer could be because the strategy is coded poorly – but, heck, we have noooo idea, really.
Third:
Look at the time stamps in the chart. Since this appears to be NQ, and I presume you’re using VERY fast settings on your ninZaRenko bars. How do I know? I see multiple bars in your screenshot with the same timestamp. Thus, with your settings, the answer to your entry order question might be pretty simple: Slippage. It is a fact of life that there can be very significant slippage on a fast moving chart, and this slippage can become very evident on charts that produce a LOT of bars during those fast periods.
But, this is speculation (educated guess, really). My point is, it’s hard to be any more definitive knowing so little about the strategy. But, on a fast moving chart (actually, a fast moving instrument, bar type on that chart doesn’t matter, the speed of buy/sell movements happen regardless of bar type, fast charts that produce lots of bars just make the slippage more apparent), slippage could happen with any strategy.
Fourth:
Assuming you have purchased this strategy and it is well coded, you may need to move your trading to a VPS, co-located in Chicago, near the exchange. This could greatly reduce your network latency, which is probably the primary reason causing the slippage phenomenon. The point is, a good VPS can drastically reduce slippage, but eliminating it entirely will never be a guaranteed thing.
Just my 2¢.
Huh?
This description is very confusing.
It’s way too brief.
Are you saying the entries are happening too soon?
That you expect the strategy to enter the order 2-3 or 10 bars after the arrow appearance from the indicator?
Why do you expect a delay for the order entry?
Have you talked to the strategy provider?
