Am I understanding this correctly, you can expose variables that aren’t plots from an indicator > a strategy but they won’t show up in the strategy builder?

That’s true, you can’t access custom objects of type Series <T> from the Strategy Builder unless they correspond to a Plot. You would need to edit the strategy’s code and manually implement access to the object.
Keep in mind that T can be anything — and unless it’s a native type such as int, long, double, DateTime, and so on — it wouldn’t be displayed properly in the PropertyGrid.
