Hello,
I’m a NT vendor and had agile.net for protecting compiled assemblies. For some reason the subscription is no longer active and I’m getting an invalid license error. I tried to email them but have had no response.
What are the options for this now? Are they the same? Or did NT move to another option for protecting compiled assemblies?
We didn’t see an email regarding problems with digital River. I thought they were moving payment processors and we didn’t receive a payment link. We assumed they would continue through their next processor but doesn’t seem that is what happen since we are getting the license error. I did send an email about a week ago to the support@ but have not heard anything back.
I haven’t had recent communication with their support, but my past inquiries were always addressed, but may take up to 2-3 days (worst case) to get a response.
There was a little mixup with payments last year after the payment processor change. They ended up charging me twice and we went back and forth and finally settled on just extending my subscription to two years instead of refunding the extra charge, which was perfectly fine with me.
They told from the start that they would help to recover the payment made to Digital River. Later they changed it into an extending of the subscription. Probably because they could not recover any money from Digital River. The only condition was that you had to pay before end of 2024 again, if not your subscription was cancelled. That is what happened with JAMES… I think.
Thank you for sharing that very valuable information @marcus. From the perspective of a vendor, that is really scary stuff. I would have thought that they would have segregated the funds of the vendors using their service from commissions and fees that were rightfully theirs, but it sounds like they literally spent client funds to cover their own costs. This was one of the vendors we at Quagensia considered using a few years ago so this hits especially close to home for me.
SecureTeam does respond, but a reply that takes a week is not unusual. Since we’re in the business of providing services to trading vendors, we’re commonly asked about these sorts of things. A number of vendors are evaluating alternatives right now.
