Looking for text box that stays on a chart in same position

I got here years ago and indicator that

A. Started in the same spot as price moves

B. Allowed you to add up to 4 different lines

C. You could color it and adjust colors

D. Nina traders text box it not the same thing

If your just looking to draw and display code generated text,
Using SharpDX drawing in OnRender is probably the easiest way:

Create SimpleFont public property to be used for TextFormat. TextFormat can be declared and assigned once, then re-used. TextLayout not so much. I would recommend using() statement. While you do not need a TextLayout to just render a DrawText. The null is timing, not the TextBox. Dispatcher.InvokeAsync only queues the build on the chart’s thread. OnBarUpdate runs ahead on its own thread, so myTextBox doesn’t exist yet for the first ~2500 bars. OnBarUpdate also shouldn’t touch a WPF control directly, since it’s on the wrong thread. Yes, that would also work, although you’re limited to the 4 corners and the middle when using Draw.TextFixed.

When using OnRender or TextBox from the links above, you can place the text by pixels wherever you want.

If you need multiple lines in your text from either example, just put \n in the string for a new line:

string s4Line = "This is first line.\nThis is second line.\nThis is 3rd line.\nAnd this is 4th line.";
