Hello,
I’ve lost kinetick connection one hour ago, and I can’t reconect it.
Someone else with issue?
Thanks,
Same problem here. “No such host”
Same problem here. ‘Unable to read server IP addresses’
same issue withe the datafeed
Thank god it’s not just me. Spent 30min trying to fix with DNS swapping and flushing.
Same problem here. It seems to to happen this early morning. Everything was fine last night for me.
It’s the same for me.
IQFeed is currently down. Their official system status page at iqhelp.dtn.com/system-status shows:
February 23, 2026 — 7:29 AM CST — Outage “Our Engineers are working diligently to get the system back up and working again.” — Status: Investigation
Any updates on Data coming back?
Same here. Must be the snowstorms
Now working. Shame market just closed.
Seems to be partially working now, but not 100% there yet.
I’m no longer getting that error message about server IP address and it connects. But it doesn’t appear to be very healthy. A few seconds after initial connection, midway through reloading charts, I get a “Connection lost” and the dot goes red.
Anyone else seeing this?
Has anyone read the fine print with these simulation prop accounts? I mean, like actually read it from top to bottom, critically thinking through every vague, legal definition and sentence. Perhaps you can use AI to contemplate and philosophize on the terms and conditions.
I’m just putting it out there, because there may be incentives that come to play that really can’t be assessed whether it’s positive or negative, but could be a factor that comes into play in situations like this where it would be perhaps wise to understand the incentives at play ![]()
I don’t know anything, and I’m not purporting to know anything, all I’m saying is maybe it’d be a good idea.
Wrong thread Maverick?
Here we’re simply talking about Kinetick data service being unstable today. Nothing to do with prop accounts.
Still is BTW, keeps dropping after connecting for a few seconds. Hopefully, they’ll fix it soon.
Same here. Haven’t seen this long down time for months maybe even years.. ![]()
Agree with the suspicion about props. These type of schemes weren’t around in my day, but they remind me of the old spread betting firms where you had to be careful not to win too much, or else risk getting banned or put on manual confirmation. Eventually both happened to me at CMC. I don’t like the conflict of interest which gives them incentive to screw you over. Plenty of horror stories out there.
There is currently a proposal to reduce PDT capital requirement from $25k to $2k. If approved then more people will be able to get into low stakes stock trading. Hopefully this will kill off the prop firm craze.
Btw connection seems stable. Connected over an hour and downloaded 10 days of Minute,Tick,Bid,Ask,Daily for 250 stocks. ![]()
