Hi,
I went through the steps to set up an email alert using Shared Services but whenever I try to send the test email, first the log reads email sent but then an error quickly appears in the log stating that the SSL certificate cannot be validated.
I am using a Yahoo! email address and I’ve tried so many “solutions” that I don’t know what to do next. Seems like such a simple problem but I dont have any more ideas. Anyone been through this?
I have tried to send the test mail and:
- Used the default Yahoo mail protocols when I set up Shared Services
- Checked the port number, 587
- Disabled VPN and firewall completely
- Generated and used the 3rd party app password now required by Yahoo
- Also tried my true yahoo password
- Used the same device name that I used to create the 3rd party password
- Tried to send email to different email addresses
- Used a non-Yahoo email address to set up Share Services and do everything above again…
same error appears.
