Anticipated Updates

Are there any anticipated updates to change the way the chart loads when adding/deleting indicators? It is such an archaic experience and waste of time sitting there waiting for indicators to load on even a 15 day tick replay historical chart just to change one minor setting. TradingView has the best UI/UX in my experience and it would be wonderful if we could get somewhere close to that because this is becoming intolerable after just 1-2 years of using the platform. If anybody has any recs on if I’m using this desktop app wrong, let me know. But I have to wait minutes just to reload a chart with indicators on it. The same concept applies to market replay were it’ll take an hour just to forward play through the tick data and if you try to rewind to a certain bar, you cannot do it accurately. You have to guess with the scroll bar and then it’ll reload the entire chart AGAIN. Then not only that, it won’t play the bars back like they’re supposed to. It’ll just replay one giant bar until it gets caught back up to where you were.

You probably have a lot of days loaded and a lot of indicators, and all of that has to be processed. If you are using tick replay, then you are getting historically accurate print, and that requires time to load. Try loading three or two days, if you’re loading 30 days or 15 days with multiple indicators and tick replay, I’ll expect to wait. Go make coffee ,mow the lawn and then come back.

Indicators DO have to calculate on historical data or you will not get accurate current indicator values/plots/etc.

Yes, I acknowledge the data is needed. I’m just saying that it would be nice if the information could stay loaded to the chart for quicker upload times in indicator/strategy applications such as TradingView or MultiCharts does. The have the tick data stored already so indicator and strategy application is instant or very quick and doesn’t every usually take more than 20 seconds max.

Always advised against loading > 10 days of TickReplay..
It’s not that it won’t work, it’s you’ll always feel the pain..
